A new year brings a quiet invitation, to pause, reflect, and choose how we want to move forward. Not in a rushed *new year, new me* way, but with intention, alignment, and self-trust. Before setting goals, it’s important to acknowledge what’s already been achieved.
Reflect Before You Reach
Last year was a big one for me..... personally, within my family, and through the launch of HER EQUILIBRIUM REVIVED. There were wins I’m deeply proud of, lessons I didn’t expect, and growth that came through discomfort.
Reflection isn’t about focusing on what didn’t happen. It’s about recognising progress, learning what worked, and understanding what season of life you’re truly in now. When we skip reflection, we often set goals that don’t fit and that’s where burnout begins.
Intentions Over Unrealistic Expectations
Instead of rigid resolutions, this year I've chosen to set intentions. Intentions provide direction without pressure. They allow flexibility while still creating momentum. They honour the reality of full lives.... careers, families, health, relationships, and the mental load so many women carry.
Goals don’t need to be extreme to be meaningful. Often, the most powerful changes are simple and sustainable.
A Visual Reset: The Canvas Bingo Card
Recently, my friends and I caught up and created something I absolutely love. A 5 x 5 canvas bingo card, each square representing an intention for the year.
I decided to align mine with the HER values/pillars as the columns :
1. Health & Well-Being
2. Relationships/Family
3. Self-Growth
4. Finances
and the 5th column I dedicated to our business goals. For each of these 5 pillars I created 5 personal intentions for each.
An example Bingo card to set your intentions can be found here:

Seeing intentions visually, turns abstract ideas into something tangible, something you can revisit, measure, and adjust. Below is how I approached each pillar, not as perfect goals but more as promises to myself.
Health: Consistency Over Perfection
This year, my focus is clarity, connection, and listening to my body. Rather than always pushing harder, I want to move smarter and kinder. Health isn't about doing more, its about doing what supports you personally long-term.
My Health Intentions:
1. Walk more - use this time for me processing the thoughts in my own head.
2. Train consistently - refine my training routine for quality over quantity.
3. Rest, reset and listen to my body without guilt.
4. Reduce alcohol consumption- particularly on occasions not needed.
5. Combat the "after-work" snack habits.
Measurable actions for these can be:
**Aiming for 10,000 steps a day.
** Structured 4 days per week gym sessions and flexibility for other days - adjust intensity as needed.
**Allow body recovery days when needed and replace with a walk & stretch.
**Find an alcohol free alternative to enjoy at home instead of reaching for wine.
**Create a nourishing after work routine to replace mindless snacking!
Relationships: Protect What Matters Most
Connection requires intention...when life gets busy, connection is often the first thing to slip.
My relationship intentions for 2026 are:
1. A scheduled date night/day per month - time for us to reconnect, re-visit goals, reflect & reset.
2. A weekend away with my girlfriends and prioritising quality catch ups in between - its important to fill my cup with the positivity and good vibes my friends bring to my life.
3. Being more present with my girls when they need my attention and carving time for them all individually also. Check-in discussions at the dinner table will be a focus and family games night becoming a regular!
4. Prioritise family weekends - particularly when it comes to family traditions. And I'd like to do at least one little family getaway to somewhere new!
5. And finally book in our Wedding! Its been TBD way too long now :)
Self-Growth: Permission to Put Yourself First
This pillar is one many women struggle with especially without guilt. This year I am choosing to slow down. Ease and rest is a form of strength.
1. Practice daily gratitude - every morning/evening breathwork.
2. Prioritising self-care without the guilt - this is the year for my skin health (skin needling, hydrating facials and allowing myself the relaxation time).
3. Monday morning podcasts - focus on internal reflection and self awareness! Find a new inspiring Poddy!
4. Schedule monthly remedial massage.
5. Quarterly recovery days a must! Can be tied into our date night/day!
Finances: Building Freedom, One Decision at a Time
Financial independence is a huge focus for us
We’re working toward **FIRE** (Financial Independence, Retire Early) and **LOOT** (Living Life On Our Terms). The launch of HER last year wa a big step toward creating additional income streams and long-term flexibility.
We actively track our finances using the app Pearler, which allows us to update and track our super balances, our mortgage vs property value, share portfolio and overall net worth. Tracking our progress regularly has helped us stay motivated and celebrate milestones, even the small ones.
This year's financial intentions;
1. Continue building our investment baskets.
2. Pay off our car.
3. Save for a big family holiday.
4. Sell or donate the old before buying new.
5. Revisit budget to find savings, review subscriptions, insurance covers, phone plans etc.
Business: Growing HER with Purpose
Her Equilibrium Revived was born from intention and this year is about growth with alignment.
My business goals for 2026 are:
1. Complete my e-commerce course.
2. Improve email marketing and workflow automations.
3. Double our sales from 2025.
4. Build Brand Awareness.
5. Double our Email subscribers and Instagram followers.
How I Make Intentions Work (And You Can Too)
Here’s the key: broad intentions + regular reassessment
All of these written down may seem a lot but what you actually realise when doing it is that sub-consciously you were working towards these anyway. Seeing them as visual representation is a quick reminder and a way to realign when you are feeling unbalanced or off track.
Justin and I try to revisit our goals monthly, often during date night. We check in, realign, and break bigger goals into smaller, tangible actions. You don’t need to have it all figured out in January. You just need to start.
Try this:
1. Choose 4–5 life pillars
2. Set 3–5 intentions per pillar
3. Turn each into one simple, measurable action
4. Reassess monthly, adjust without judgement on yourself.
Progress isn’t linear. Growth isn’t loud. And becoming HER doesn’t happen overnight.
It happens in the quiet, consistent choices you make....... again and again.
Here’s to a year of intention, alignment, and becoming the woman you’re proud to be.
